Adipurush, starring Prabhas and Kriti Sanon, will have its world premiere at the Tribeca Festival in New York. Announcing this, the makers of the mythological drama revealed that it will be screened at the prestigious event on June 13. Adipurush, directed by Om Raut, also stars Saif Ali Khan.

Adipurush has been making news ever since its teaser released last year. Sharing his excitement about the news, Prabhas said, “I am honored that Adipurush will have its world premiere at Tribeca Festival, New York. It is an absolute privilege to be a part of a project that reflects the ethos of our country. To see our Indian films, especially one very close to me, Adipurush, reach the global platform makes me extremely proud not only as an actor but also as an Indian. I look forward to seeing the audience reaction at Tribeca.”

Om Raut also expressed his happiness saying, “Adipurush is not a film, it is a feeling, a feeling! It is our vision of a story that resonates with the soul of India. When I came to know that Adipurush has been chosen by me.” Esteemed jury of one of the prestigious film festivals of the world, which I always aspired to visit as a student! This premiere at Tribeca Festival is really surreal for me as well as the entire team as we get to showcase a story on a global scale. A platform that is deeply ingrained in our culture! We are really thrilled and excited to see the audience reaction to the world premiere.”
Based on the epic Ramayana, Adipurush features Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Sita, Sunny Singh as Lakshman and Saif Ali Khan as Ravana.
