Delta announced on Monday that it has partnered with NWSL on a multi-year contract as the league’s official airline and travel partner.
It is NWSL’s first airline sponsor and Delta’s first major sponsor of the Women’s Soccer League. This announcement follows an airline affiliated with the US Ski & Snowboard Women’s Mentorship Program.
Mitch Paul, Chief Revenue Officer at NWSL, said: “Delta is a key ambassador for empowerment and inclusion and we look forward to what this partnership will achieve in the coming years.”
As part of the partnership, Delta will support and develop women’s empowerment programs and new diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives.
In addition, the airline will partner with the Women’s Sports Foundation to support the Athlete Ambassador Program.
“These new partnerships are in line with Delta’s commitment to investing in and supporting women’s equity,” said Molly Batin, Senior Vice President of Global Brand Marketing at Delta. “Women’s athletics has historically been less funded than men’s athletics, and through these new agreements, Delta will provide these organizations with significant investment and meaningful programming inside and outside the stadium. And look forward to partnering with that athlete. “
NWSL season Scheduled to start At the Challenge Cup on March 18th.
