Dousing the flames of a relationship? fire countryGabriella Perez and Bode Donovan Lyons’ relationship hits a rough patch during the episode airing Friday, April 21 — and this is just the beginning.
“Do you remember the night we met?” Gabriella (Stephanie Arcilla) asks Bode (max thieriot) In us weeklyExclusive first look at Friday’s “Watch Your Step” episode. “I called my dad later, and I turned you in.”
Bode is not surprised that Gabriella informs him of being on Main Street instead of the Three Rock con camp that night.
“You didn’t know me yet and it was the right thing to do,” he says, noting that he was just a criminal who appeared to escape the first time they crossed paths. (Bode is an inmate at a fire camp who is working to reduce his sentence by aiding in combating wildfires in the wilds of California.)
Gabriella – who fell in love with Bode when he was under her father, Manny Perez (Kevin Alejandro) See at Fire Camp – Confesses that his feelings for her have begun to cloud his judgement.
“Back when I didn’t know you yet, the difference between right and wrong was crystal clear,” she says, pointing out that Bode’s lifestyle is rubbing off on her.
The Cal Fire rookie admits she “just lied to my dad” about an undisclosed topic. The lapse appears to be linked to Bode’s behavior in the convict camp.
Gabriella tells Bode, “I want to be with you so badly, but our gray area is growing and I don’t know if that’s a good thing or not.” business while I’m out. I promise.”
While the two did not specify what “lies” Gabriella told, it may be related to the bag of money that Bode was given during the episode “Off the Rails”, which aired on April 7. During the episode a train hopper, and potential outlaw, gave him a wad of money which he unknowingly brought back to camp.
At that point, Bode told his friend Freddy Mills (W Trey Davis) to give the backpack to Manny, but the exchange was not shown before the episode ended.
fire country premiered in October 2022 and was picked up for season 2 in January. The series, which was created by Thieriot, 34, follows a group of inmates who are part of a firefighting program in Northern California. Throughout the show, the men work with local firefighters from Cal Fire—led by Bode’s father, Cal Fire Battalion Chief Vince Lyons (billy burke) – to stop the wildfire from spreading and as a reward they can grant early parole.
