Frank OceanTime has dried up in the desert.
The musician—who was Sunday night’s headliner at Coachella 2023—will not return for the second weekend of the Indio, California music festival, his rep confirmed to E! news.
The representative stated that on behalf of “doctor’s advice”, Frank could not go on stage after sustaining “two fractures and a sprain in his left leg”.
“Frank Ocean will not be performing Weekend 2 of Coachella,” reps said in a statement on April 19. The show was intended but still intended to perform, and in 72 hours, the show was scrapped out of necessity.
The statement comes after Ocean’s April 16 set — his first live concert in nearly six years — raised eyebrows. The performance started about an hour late, and fans complained that they were unable to see Ocean on stage as he was positioned too far from the crowd. Ocean, 35, too suddenly stopped his show earlier than fans expected due to Coachella’s curfew, he said at the time.
