When she’s not looking out for Justin, Hailey makes sure to take care of my health. Last month, she opened up a bit more about her terrifying mini-stroke as she marked the milestone of being a survivor a year later. Hailey revealed that a “life-changing” event resulted in her PFO (patent foramen ovale) diagnosis. On the recommendation of her doctor, Hailey had the PFO closed and has since made a full recovery.
After news first broke about Hailey’s health in the spring of 2022, she took to Instagram to give fans the 411. “Thursday morning, I was having breakfast with my husband when I started having stroke-like symptoms and was rushed to the hospital,” she wrote. “They found I had a very small blood clot in my brain, which had caused a slight lack of oxygen, but my body passed it on its own and I made a full recovery within a few hours.” She said: “While it was definitely one of the scariest moments I have ever been through, I am now home and doing well.”
