Japan’s Kaori Sakamoto wins gold at world skating championships – JWS

Kaori Sakamoto received the gold medal on the World Determine Skating Championships and received the championship as a Japanese girl for the primary time in eight years.

Her victory on the World Determine Skating Championships follows the bronze medal on the 2022 Tokyo Olympics in February.

Sakamoto recorded his private greatest rating within the quick program and free skating, scoring a complete of 236.09 factors.

Loena Hendrickx clinched Silver and completed 217.70 factors behind Sakamoto. She is the primary Belgian feminine skater to win a medal on the earth.

Alysa Liu closed the rostrum and received the American Girls’s World Medal for the primary time in six years. The beautiful free skating program raised American skaters from fifth place to the bronze medal, ending with a complete of 211.19 factors.

Liu’s US teammate Mariah Bell completed in 4th place, whereas Karen Chen of the Group USA Olympics was in eighth place.

Russian skaters have been unable to compete within the World Determine Skating Championships because of the invasion of Ukraine.
