About This Breastfeeding Calorie Calculator

This free breastfeeding calorie calculator is built on published clinical evidence and peer-reviewed research. All calculations run entirely in your browser — no data is sent to any server, and no account is required. Results are educational estimates intended to guide informed conversations with qualified healthcare or financial professionals.

Enter your baby's current measurements or feeding data above. For growth tracking, use data from your most recent pediatrician well-child visit for most accurate results. Results are estimates — your pediatrician evaluates growth in full clinical context at each visit.

Pediatric Care in the USA — Well-Child Visit Coverage

Under the ACA, all US insurance plans must cover well-child visits at no cost (no deductible, no copay) through age 18. This includes growth measurements, developmental screening, immunizations, and provider consultation. The AAP schedule covers: 1, 2, 4, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 24, and 30 months, then annually from ages 3–21. If your baby is uninsured, they qualify for CHIP (Children's Health Insurance Program) in all 50 states — apply at healthcare.gov or your state Medicaid office.

When to Seek Professional Guidance in the USA

Call your pediatrician same-day or go to urgent care if your baby: has a fever above 100.4°F (38°C) under 3 months, shows signs of dehydration (no wet diapers for 8+ hours, no tears), is breathing rapidly or with difficulty, is unusually difficult to wake or appears extremely lethargic, or you have any concern about development or feeding.
